Big Marv's Wanted Books

Here's a bunch of books I'm keeping my eye out for.

He's Just Not Into You
Greg Behrendt, Liz Tuccillo
Possibly more of a "chick" book than one for guys (judging by the reviews on Amazon, anyway) but a friend tells me it's a lot of laughs. Authored by two Sex and the City writers, and in part based on one episode from that series.
A Scanner Darkly
Phillip K. Dick
Futuristic cop tracks a dealer who might be someone close to him. (A friend gave me more detail than that, but it sounds really good.)
Ilium
Dan Simmons
A friend tells me "godlike beings acting out the Iliad on a terraformed Mars sentient cyborgs sent by humans long ago to the moons of jupiter, arguing the merits of Shakespeare vs. Proust the last few "old style" humans enjoying a park-like earth and much, much more. By page 25.
Dice: Deception, Fate, and Rotten Luck
Ricky Jay, Rosamond Wolff Purcell (Photographer)
Heard an interview with Ricky Jay recently on FreshAir. He's a fascinating guy.
Body of Secrets: Anatomy of the Ultra-Secret National Security Agency
The Puzzle Palace: A Report on America's Most Secret Agency
James Bamford
A look inside the NSA.
The Radioactive Boy Scout
Ken Silverstein
Bored boy genius scrapes radioactive material from smoke detectors, Coleman lanterns, and glow-in-the-dark hands from vintage clocks and builds an almost working nuclear reactor in his mom's potting shed. According to Time Magazine, by the time public-health officials finally caught on to what this kid was up to, the potting shed was so hot it had to be classified as a Superfund site.
First Impressions: What You Don't Know About How Others See You
Ann Demarais and Valerie White
Hey, I'm a shy computer geek. I need to learn this kinda crap.
